Before Beyond with Brit, my career looked very different. I earned my Master's degree in Psychology and spent years working with children and families, including children with developmental disabilities. It was work I genuinely cared about, and helping people has always been an important part of who I am.
But becoming a mom changed the way I thought about time, work, and the kind of life I wanted to build. I wanted a career that allowed me to be more present with my family without giving up having something meaningful of my own.
Travel advising became a way to bring those pieces together: my love of travel, my instinct for helping people, and my slightly obsessive tendency to research the details. Now I get to help other people spend less time overwhelmed by vacation planning and more time actually looking forward to going.
